What is Statue of Liberty?

The Statue of Liberty is a symbol of freedom and democracy located in New York Harbor. It was a gift from France to the United States and was dedicated in 1886. The statue represents Libertas, the Roman goddess of freedom, holding a torch and a tabula ansata (a tablet evoking the law).
